{"id":39,"date":"2020-01-13T14:52:34","date_gmt":"2020-01-13T14:52:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tsavlirisfoundation.org\/?page_id=39"},"modified":"2020-01-13T14:52:34","modified_gmt":"2020-01-13T14:52:34","slug":"tsavliris-cultural-foundation","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/tsavlirisfoundation.org\/","title":{"rendered":"Tsavliris Cultural Foundation"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Foundation\u2019s Philosophy<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Tsavliris Cultural Foundation in\naccordance to the vision of its Founder, Greek shipowner Mr.George A.\nTsavliris, is dedicated to the spiritual and artistic creation of our times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Based on the island of Cyprus, it constitutes\na private Foundation that began its journey in the fall of 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its philosophy is reflected in tis logo, an\nimpression sketch of an ancient Cypriot Oinochoe (wine jug) that bears on its\nouter surface the depiction of a ship. The combination of a ceramic vessel and\na ship symbolizes the ancient journey to Hellenic civilization and its\necumenical trajectory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the ancient triremes carried the goods\nof culture at the four corners of the then known world, symbolically the\nTsavliris Foundation continues the same journey transporting the modern goods\nof Hellenic civilization to today\u2019s world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sea-going Hellenism always crosses the\nseas in its effort to know the world and itself through this journey. This is\nthe aim of art and civilization: the knowing of ourselves and of the others,\nthe constructive dialogue and the passing on of knowledge and experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ancient vessel with the travelling ship transporting the Hellenic civilization and bequeathing it to the whole oecumene (world) constitutes the seal of the identity of the Tsavliris Cultural Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Aims and Objectives<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The aims of the Tsavliris Cultural\nFoundation are inspired and emanate from its willingness to support and promote\nthe spiritual and artistic creativity of people who, through their work\ncontribute to the questioning and quest for a better, spiritual and humane\nsociety such as: artists, intellectuals, thinkers on civilization, society,\neducation and spiritual culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Harvesting the plethora of the fruitful\nwork of these creators, the Foundation collects and delivers to society a new\nand rich ingathering of spiritual food made from works of literature, visual\narts, music, theatre, history, archaeology, folk art and tradition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Foundation\u2019s Philosophy The Tsavliris Cultural Foundation in accordance to the vision of its Founder, Greek shipowner Mr.George A.
